This social walk led by Hiking Buddies UK starts at YHA The Sill and follows a historic route along Hadrian’s Wall, taking in the dramatic Housesteads Crags and the ancient Roman fort of Vercovicivm (Housesteads Fort). The route offers a fascinating blend of rugged natural beauty and rich history, winding through rolling Northumberland countryside and featuring spectacular views of the wall—one of Britain’s most iconic Roman landmarks. Participants will enjoy an engaging experience combining outdoor adventure with a journey through Britain’s Roman past, making it perfect for history buffs and hiking enthusiasts alike.
