About the Event
This social walk for experienced hikers starts at YHA Edale and follows a scenic route up to Kinder Scout Plateau, the highest point in the Peak District at 636m. The walk offers a mix of open moorland, dramatic gritstone edges, and sweeping views across the national park. Along the way, participants will pass landmarks like Grindsbrook Clough. The area holds historical significance as the site of the 1932 Mass Trespass, a pivotal event in the right-to-roam movement. This is a challenging hike ideal for those wanting to connect with like-minded walkers while experiencing one of the UK’s most iconic landscapes.
Start Time: Meet at 8:30am for a 9am depart.
