About the Event
This guided walk, led by Hiking Buddies UK as part of the YHA Festival of Walks, takes participants from the tranquil valley of Borrowdale to the summit of Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain. Starting at YHA Borrowdale, the route follows one of the Lake District’s most scenic yet demanding approaches, often taking in Styhead Tarn and the dramatic Corridor Route. With steep ascents, rocky paths, and a full day of mountain walking, this hike requires a good level of physical fitness and is not suitable for beginners. It’s ideal for experienced walkers looking for a rewarding challenge in a supportive group environment. Combining breathtaking scenery, a sense of achievement, and the camaraderie of the Hiking Buddies UK community, this is a truly memorable way to experience one of the UK's most iconic landscapes.
